Design tools for engineers have changed little over the past decades. Today, creating 3D models for parts and machines is still a manual and repetitive process that can take days or even weeks. This increases costs, slows down iteration cycles, and delays time-to-market.

nureo addresses this challenge by developing automated 3D design software that translates user inputs into production-ready geometries. Engineers define specifications and constraints, while the platform automatically generates designs for different applications and manufacturing methods. By reducing manual effort by up to 90%, the solution increases productivity, accelerates iteration cycles, and helps standardize design quality across teams.

The company operates within the computer-aided design (CAD) and product lifecycle management (PLM) software market, estimated at CHF 30-50 billion globally, with annual growth rates of 10-30%. Its focus on generative design and automation targets an expanding segment as engineering processes become more software-driven. Customers include industrial OEMs and SMEs such as machine builders, component manufacturers, and engineering service providers, who benefit from more efficient and scalable product development.

The CHF 150,000 from Venture Kick will support the expansion of the team across business development and engineering, accelerating both product development and commercial growth. A key priority is converting successful pilot projects into recurring revenue streams, building on strong initial market validation. In parallel, nureo will increase its presence at international trade fairs and conferences to deepen customer relationships, scale its sales pipeline, and further expand its offering.

nureo was founded by Dr. Manuel Biedermann (CEO), Dr. Patrick Beutler (CTO), and Dr. Urs Hofmann (COO). The team brings decades of experience in design automation, software development, and manufacturing and is working with industry partners to bring automated design tools to market.

“For us, Venture Kick was far more than a funding program. Through its multi-stage journey of pitching, expert feedback, and dedicated coaching during Kickers-Camps, it became a valuable framework for continuously challenging, refining, and advancing our business model,” highlighted co-founder Patrick Beutler.
